What is Big Data

Big Data refers to enormous, complex datasets that traditional methods have a difficult time managing and analysing. It includes data from sensors, social media, and business transactions. The key elements of big data are volume (amount of data), velocity (speed of data collection and processing) and variety (different types and sources of data). Big data analysis aims at discovering valuable insights, trends and patterns that can inform decision making as well as fuel innovation. This information is collected through various gadgets such as phones, tablets, computers among others often connected via Wi-Fi routers. Data is very important in the world of computing because it is stored in binary language which makes almost everything like app usage possible even without Wi-Fi connection for completing projects.
